Prof Necdet Tosun is Faculty of Theology in Marmara University, Istanbul, Turkey. He has various books, articles and conference papers to his credit on Ottoman, Central Asian and Indian Sufism.

His academic activities include taking graduation, post-graduation and doctorate classes in History of Sufism, Persian Sufi Texts and Sufism in the Ottoman Period. He has extensively studied Sufism at both the post-graduate and doctorate level. He did his doctorate degree on The School of Khâjagân/ Naqshbandiyya in Sufism: 12th- 17th centuries.
