Mukhtar Ahmad is the first Kashmiri photographer who participated in the International Photo shows and competitions in Saudi Arabia as a landscape photographer where Kashmir was seen for the first time by an international audience in 1992.M.Sc. M.Phil. Kashmir Tourism

He graduate in Professional Photography from New York Institute of Photography, USA. Possess nearly 2.5 lakh images on kashmir, Jammu and Ladakh covering all the subjects like culture, heritage, landscape, religion, flora and fauna, architecture etc. He has judged a number of photo contests. hes recipient of various awards .
He has worked as a glamour photographer for the Royal families of Saudi Arabia.Have supplied images to lots of travel magazines in and outside India

He has won the awards like:

• Photographer of the year award
• Best Himalayan Motor Rally outstanding Photographer award
• Award of excellence in a photo exhibition held in Saudi Arabia by the ministry of youth welfares.

He has conceived, designed and printed the state tourism brochures in English, Italian, Russian and French languages depicting my images those were showcased in the international tourism trade fairs.
